SVG Repo

SVG Repo is a massive, free archive of open-licensed vector icons. Everything is downloadable as an SVG, which means it scales cleanly, drops into any layout, and is easy to edit. You’ll find hundreds of thousands of icons covering just about every theme imaginable, from system UI to quirky one-offs. It’s not trying to be trendy or curated. It’s utility-focused and no-nonsense.

The site works, but the search can be a pain. Tags are all over the place, so you might have to dig to find what you’re after. Filtering is minimal and results aren’t always accurate. But considering the volume of free icons and the fact that every file is in vector format, it’s still a handy backup for when you need something fast.

The collection feels a little dated, and it won’t replace your go-to design system or icon set. But for quick mockups, placeholder art, or internal presentations, it’s a decent resource to keep in mind. Especially if you just need raw SVGs without dealing with licensing drama or gated downloads.
