NaN
Experimental type foundry serving up precise, unconventional fonts that don’t play it safe.
Pros
- Unique and expressive typefaces
- Free trial
Cons
- Limited selection compared to larger foundries
NaN doesn’t make quiet fonts. Everything in their catalogue comes with tension. Shapes are sharp, spacing is tight, and the overall tone leans more engineered than ornamental. These aren’t background players. They’re built to grab attention and set the mood fast.
The library is small but dialed in. NaN Jaune has a rigid geometry that locks into a grid like it was cut from metal. Holo feels more neutral at first glance, but the detailing is weird in the right way. Even their more restrained styles carry an edge. You’re not pulling from a safe zone here.
There’s nothing overly polished or precious about their work. These fonts are made for bold systems, editorial builds, and identities that aren’t afraid to take up space. If you’re looking for a typeface that does more than fill in the blanks, NaN has the attitude to back it up.
