Lottielab
Motion design tool that lets you create and edit Lottie animations in the browser with real-time previews and Figma support baked in.
Pros
- Works in the browser with no install
- Real-time editing and team collaboration
Cons
- Lacks some advanced motion features
Lottielab is what happens when someone finally makes a Lottie editor that doesn’t suck. You work right in the browser, no After Effects, no install, no code. If you’ve ever tried tweaking a Lottie file by hand, you know how annoying that gets. This cleans it up and keeps it visual.
You can animate straight from Figma files or build things from scratch. It’s real-time and collaborative so your whole team can jump in and stop slinging screenshots back and forth. The interface feels familiar if you’ve used any motion tools before, and it doesn’t take long to get moving. You can even make interactive animations with triggers and states without writing a single line of code.
There are still some bumps. The export flow can get glitchy, and if you’re coming from After Effects, you’ll notice the missing polish on some advanced features. You’re not building Pixar-level stuff here. But if you’re cranking out UI animations, micro-interactions, or just need to ship fast, Lottielab covers most of what you need without the usual motion design headache.
