Jitter
Browser motion studio that uses reusable motion templates and editable timelines to export polished MP4s or GIFs.
Pros
- Beginner-friendly
- Instant previews and rapid exports
- Seamless integration with Figma
- A wide selection of templates and reusable animation presets
- real-time collaboration, and easy sharing of files for feedback and approvals
Cons
- Only supports 2D motion graphics and does not have capabilities for 3D animation
Jitter is the thing you open when an animation was due yesterday. It feels like Figma for motion so you don’t need to relearn an awkward timeline app. Import a Figma file, pick a motion template, nudge timings and export video or GIFs without hunting keyframes. That speed wins when you are under a deadline or need a quick social clip.
Under the hood it keeps the parts you actually use. There are motion templates for titles, device mockups, logos and showreels. The Figma plugin pulls layers over pixel-perfect, edits stay editable, and the canvas supports scene-based timelines so you can copy scenes and reuse setups. Exports have gotten faster and smaller thanks to recent updates, so big files do not kill your browser like they used to.
Use Jitter when you need polished motion without the After Effects hangover. It is built for designers who already live in Figma and need to prove interactions or make quick motion files. Collaboration and simple sharing mean teammates can preview and tweak without a handoff. It is not a replacement for heavyweight motion apps, but it is a tool that makes motion less painful and far more repeatable.
